Is a medical prescription needed?

No, it is not necessary. Traditional medicine mainly focuses on diagnosing manifest diseases, not on prevention or health optimization. As long as there are no evident symptoms or serious suspicions of pathology, the general practitioner will not prescribe this type of analysis, and consequently, health insurance will not cover it either.
